Welcome to The Paris Perspective
Today serves as my countdown to leave the United States! I'm so f*kn over submitting to the patriarchy, being a subject of consumerism and Western societal structures of work, work, work until you're stressed, prematurely aged and lacking fulfillment. Yes, I enjoy material possessions and the money that provides material pleasure. At the same time, my desire has shifted to focus on the real pleasures of life: freedom, wellness, and community. I'm exploring what that looks/feels/smells/tastes/sounds like as I journey through my thirties.
The Paris Perspective is my journal, blog, vlog, and video diary documenting my POV as I explore what freedom, wellness, and community looks like in this new chapter of my life. I’m here as your wellness sister, travel-loving soul, and advocate for holistic living—sharing ways for us to prioritize ourselves, embrace the journey, and stay spiritually grounded.

Time, Location, Financial Freedom
That's the real wealth. Now, $100,000,000 wouldn't hurt. At all. But imagine rising in the morning using your body's natural alarm clock. A slow morning accompanied by fresh coconut water or matcha on the warm, breezy, sunlit patio, getting your last minute toiletries together before heading to the airport on your way to a new travel destination that you booked on a whim last week.
The luxury of time and leisure should no longer be a reward for Black women. It is a non-negotiable. Being able to live life on your own terms, with ease is an act of resistance to the patriarchy. The patriarchy says in order for your life to be valuable you must be productive. You need to work 9 to 5, 5 days a week for 40+ years then you can do what you want. Well I'm here, now at 30, making a stand and leaving that philosophy behind. I'm doing what I desire now. I deserve ease and so do you. The money and success will come along the way. I know this to be true.
Rooted in Wellness
My decision to join thousands of Black women in the exodus from the United States is rooted in the desire for a better sustained life freedom. Doing what makes me happy, fulfilled, and joyful is my top priority these days. Embracing leisure, slower rhythms, immersive cultural experiences, exploring new cuisines and sceneries. Living life like the locals, honoring cultural traditions, and witnessing the connection between spiritual wellness practices around the world. I am choosing my own well-being over the life society says we have to live in order to be happy and successful. The Paris Perspective is my life, experiences, and joys in hopes to inspire women like me to take back their divine power and choose what freedom feels like!
